Death Trance

_death_trance.jpg

If you’re looking for a movie with meaningful plot this post is not for you, but if you’re looking for a action and awesome fight-scenes then this is the movie you want. The story is quite thin and revolves around a stolen coffin. Still, there are some nice twists to the story but that’s not where the movie shines. The while scenery has a MadMax feeling and if you add the great heavy-metall music during the fightscenes you get a quality action movie.

Samurai Fiction

_samurai_fiction.jpg

If you love samurai movies, Kurosawa espacially, this one’s for you: Samurai Fiction. This is not just a great satiric tribute to Kurosawa, but also a great action movie with quality sword fights and very good storyline. Feudal lord Kanzen Inukai receives a precious sword from the Shogun, but it is stolen by the samurai Kazamatsuri. Kanzen’s young son, Heishiro, insists on retrieving the sword himself to protect the family from the shame of losing such a precious gift. More than that would be a spoiler, so go get the movie and watch it. It’s worth every second.

It’s time again for a new Indigo Session Release. This time it’s number 78, expertly mixed by WakaX and UFO, and recorded for Radio Analog. The theme is: chilly night drive, and as always the two stay true to it. More infos and covers at the TMBase homepage.

New Icon Packs

Here are some new iconpacks for those who want a fancy desktop. First is the Moonlight Pack. This is not a new one, just that this time it comes in IconPackager format so you can apply it very easy. Second one, comes also in IconPackager format, but it new. LCDized brings a twist to the Mac-style icons giving them a high tech look. The third is an add-on for the Crystal B&W series, featured in earlier posts. The addon is very well made with some nice icons. All that’s left for you is to go and grab these desktop eye-candy.

Spotback Personal Portal.

Spotback is a new portal that lets you get very personal with new interest Ajax features. Once you hit the site you can start to rate stories via slider instead of typical star ratings (I personally feel like stars are more usable as you don’t need to drag you can just click). As you rate items highly, new content “like that” will appear for you. Other nicely done features are:

  • – Drop down categories
  • – Simple links to other people who like the content
  • – The “more…” link opens content up inline
  • – Simple settings for turning on and off animation, tooltips, high grade bringing in the new story etc

Spa Sessions by Lemongrass

Looking for some relaxation? Spa Sessions: Lounging brings some very nice tracks from Lemongrass, and this alone should be a plus. Although some of the songs sound very alike the album is great to listen to bringing some quality Lo-Fi to your ears.

Indigo Sessions Reissue #119

After some weeks of silence it’s time for another Indigo Sessions reissue. This ones theme is “Dub in France” and as always, WakaX and UFO stay true to it. Another great mix in the Indigo series. You can get it at the TMBase site while it’s still there.

Flika – Makunouchi Bento, Bleep & selfmademusic

A new joint project from Makunouchi Bento, together with Bleep & selfmademusic. This release includes only three tracks but all of them sound great. A simple demo of great music skills, now available at the TMBase homepage. Also available there are the print-quality TIFFs for the covers.
