Dreamblade Miniatures Strategy Game

_dreamblade.jpg

Wizards Of The Coast is about to release a brand new miniatures strategy game called Dreamblade. The game is quite simple but fun to play. But that’s only half of the good news. The other half is the fact that a printable edition is already available online for free. You can download a map, a complete rulebook, a virtual starter set of 16 (!) creatures plus a bonus virtual booster of 7 additional figurines in PDF format ready to print & play. Of course the miniatures a paper-fold versions of the original plastic figurines and don’t come even close to their beauty. Still, I gives you the chance to play & experiment with the game before buying the plastic version. The rules are simple, only 22 page of rules incl. glossary and credits, but can lead to some complex situations, and that’s what make a game fun to play. I highly recommend you stop by the Wizards Dreamblade site and print&play.

ReadyMech Toys

_readymech.jpg

Remember the days when you were a kid and use to play with paperfolding & glue? Here's something that will take you back. At the ReadyMech webpage you can download for free a large variaty of PDF Sheets with unfolded toys. You can just print them and start folding. The models are quite nice, having the feeling of BxH toys. Some of them have also a comic touch, like the PAL9000 inspired by the computer HAL from the movie 2001:A Space Odyssey. Not all of them are easy to fold but most certainly all are fun. They also make up for an interesting appearence on your shelf or desk.

Eejits Critterz.

Stumbled upon a website, quite similar to Creatures In My Head but with a more cartoonish touch. The critters, created by George Mackay, are quite a few and range from some really weird ones to cute & cuddly. Various downloadable extras and an online shop are also featured.

Crazy Rabbit

What out for the crazy rabbit!! He doesn't know the difference between mouse-pointer and carrot no more. Approach rabbit with mouse pointer only very carefully & slowly. You have been warned. Check out the crazy bunny.

Flatlife

flatlife.jpg

In Flatlife, hanging a painting on the wall becomes a quite hazardous operation, houses of cards seem subject to Murphy's Law, doing the laundry requires special skills in the field of ethology, and watching TV turns out to be a life-threatening activity. The movie won the Prix de jury (Jury Award) at Cannes Film Festival 2004 and was nominated for the Golden Palm in the short movies category. It's quite funny, as you will notice. It also features a panda.
